    Karauli Judgeship was constituted on 29th of August 1997 after dissociating 5 tehsil from Sawai Madhopur district. That time, District & Session Court, Karauli was organized to abolish the already situated special court (Dacoity affected areas) and Additional District & Session Judge, Karauli. District & Session Court was then transferred separately in new building in year 2006.

    Shri Rajendra Singh was the first District & Sessions Judge of this judgeship.

    After formation of Karauli District, 6 tahsils named Karauli, Hindauncity, Sapotara, Mandarayal, Todabhim and Nadoti were included. Karauli Judgeship is made up of District Headquarter, Karauli and Sub-Division Hindauncity, Todabhim.

    District Headquarter of Karauli Judgeship is situated in Karauli which includes 10 judicial courts and a Juvenile Justice Board. Apart from District Headquarter, Sub-Division courts Hindauncity comprises of 6 judicial courts including Gram Nyayalaya, Todabhim has 2 judicial court, Nadauti has 1 judicial court ,Sapotra has 1 judicial courtand Shrimahaveer Ji (a part of Sub-Division Hindauncity) has 1 judicial court.

    Thus, total 22 no.s of judicial courts are working in this judgeship.

    Furthermore, Karauli Judgeship has a magnificent temple of Shri Radha Madan Mohan Ji located at District Headquarte

    In North-West 35 kilometers away from district headquarter, a pilgrimage for Jain religion as Shrimahaveer Ji temple situated and in South, another splendid temple of Maa Kela Devi is 22 kilometers away from District Headquarter. Keladevi Sanctuary begins from this temple.
